These two articles were both interesting and informative. I thought that "The Morality of fat" was semi boring though. This article was about how people view fats differently. Such as how people try to reduce fats when in the end they just get a bunch of chemicals. The most interesting quote I read in this article was "We're a country with a lively appreciation of sin, and our eating behavior appears to be colored by it.". I thought that this was interesting because it is very very true!!! I think that you can see how us Americans love our food in most of our population. I think that even though that it doesn't show in everyone it shows in different ways. We are obsessed with food either way. We either love to eat it or hate it. In this case we go towards the extremes.
For the article on the "eye of the beholder" I thought that there were some interesting points. I thought that it gave some very interesting facts. Such as "pale skin was a sign that one did not have to spend one's time toiling outdoors". I thought that that was interesting because it shows that different classes back then had to do with skin color and the way people looked which is very much like how it is now a days. For instance it also say that the tanner you are the more leisure time you have also being toned is a sign of wealth. I just thought that those brought up interesting conversation and points that were made.

Mirit, I thought that you did a great job describing the conversations we all had and the great points you brought up about the articles.
