Seminar on article

Todays seminar was very interesting. During it we talked about the BBC article about basically the globalization of the beauty ideal. We talked about how the world is focusing a lot of their attention on the western media because it seems that people look up to it. They think that the western people achieve success by looking the way that they do so the people who don't live on the west try to strive to be like them. I think that trying to look a certain way whether it be fat, skinny, or white is not the right way to go. I think that we need to try less to be like others and in the end strive to be ourselves because that will in the end find you success and beauty.
